FAQs

General

From the moment you buy, you have 6 months to activate your Venice Pass. Activation can be done at any time directly from the app, available in the Google Play Store and App Store. From that moment, the Pass will be valid for the duration of your subscription: 2 days, 3 days, 5 days.

To use the pass correctly, we recommend that you have an internet connection.

Please note: you will only be able to use the pass to access the included attractions once.

Before buying Venice Pass for children and young people travelling with you, we advise you to carefully read the main services and attractions policy. For example, for children under 3 years old admission is free to all sites and museums in Venice. In some private museums the limit is 12. In public museums the limit is 18. For public transport up to the age of 6 the ticket is free.

To find out about all the attractions included in the pass consult the complete list in the attractions section of the portal or the Venice Pass app.

No, transport is optional. You can add to your Venice Pass the transport option with a validity of 48 hours, 72 hours or 5 days according to what you need.

You will be able to travel freely on: ACTV waterbuses in Venice, Lido and islands / ACTV buses in Mestre, Marghera and mainland / Tram/People Mover.

Not included are ACTV transport lines to/from Venice Marco Polo Airport, boat line 16 and Alilaguna lines.

IMPORTANT: To activate your ticket, you must validate your card (at turnstiles or directly on board buses) the first time you access public transportation. The green light and an audible signal indicate that the ticket has been validated correctly. The ticket is also used to open the barriers on the piers.

To access all the attractions, with the exception of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and St. Mark's Bell Tower, just show the bar code in the My Venice Pass section of your app.

To access the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and St. Mark's Bell Tower, on the other hand, you will have to show the digital voucher that you will receive by email and that you will find in the My Venice Pass section of your app.

Yes, in Italy there are special days when entry to state museums is free for everyone: every first Sunday of the month, April 25 (Liberation Day), June 2 (Republic Day), November 4 (National Unity Day), May 18 (International Museum Day), and during the European Heritage Days. On these occasions, due to high attendance, entry may not be guaranteed. Possession of the Venice Pass does not grant priority access.
